Chibi walking to School.

Really simplistic, clear look here. I love how u used the blurring of the background to let the character pop more and make it match your style. I would say, however, that it seems just a tad too detailed for your main focus. Also, the chibi looks like he's either floating or not in the image (you need to move him a few pixels down or make him a little smaller)
His hair is a good addition to the piece, conveying style and personality well, but I would suggest making his nose more prominent to emphasize these traits more. 
It's got a really nice overall look, though. Good work!!
